Kathy Ireland Area Rug
Kathy Ireland Area Rug - Supermodel Looks and Everyday Value
Chances are you've seen a Kathy Ireland Area Rug and didn't even realize it. 11 Kathy Ireland area Rugs are in Shaw's Top 20 best selling rugs. Why? Because Kathy has a good eye for design and she's always wanted to focus on value. Her area rugs are Shaw are all Polypropylene which translates to easy care and affordable.
You'd think that a supermodel might want to go upscale but Kathy Ireland cites two reasons for wanting to keep her prices reasonable: she's a mom with young kids and her supermodel days afforded her the chance to travel in exotic locales. And instead of focusing on her jet setting ways, Kathy Ireland recognized how most of the world lives. They can't afford to spend their entire paycheck on a floor covering.
Kathy Ireland started her partnership with Shaw back in 1999; her rugs rolled out in 2000. She now has four lines there:
- Kathy Ireland Rugs. Most of these border rugs will have a English cottage inspiration; Kathy's father was from England
- Kathy Ireland Aloha. These contemporary rugs reflect the latest palm tree epidemic in design that goes with British Colonial so well, you'd think she came up with that look, too.
- A new upscale collection called Kathy Ireland Gallery (that still tops at $1,200 a rug)
- and a youth oriented line that has lots of fun rugs included. That Kathy Ireland collection is called Young Attitudes. It includes retro 70s style and modern girly-girl area rugs.
Now if only buying a Kathy Ireland rug would make me look a little more like her. I'd have my whole house done up in Kathy Ireland. But who needs an excuse to buy another beautiful Kathy Ireland rug?
