Blue Area Rug
Dreaming of a Blue Area Rug?
Are you shopping for a blue area rug but you don't know where to start? Light blue, aquamarine blue, navy blue, blue green - no wonder your head is spinning! After you work out what size the blue rug needs to be and you have a good idea of what you can spend on it, then consider what style of rug you want. You can find a wide range of blue area rugs, including the following styles:
- Modern. One of my favorite modern rugs is Ziggy by Momeni. You can get this area blue rug yellow accents (really golden looking) in rectangle or round shapes. The rug is 100% wool and hand tufted in China.
- Braided. A braided blue rug would look super in a den or an informal kitchen dining area. Colonial Braided Rugs makes a great number of blue combination color area rugs but you won't find any area blue rug white combinations. A couple of blue colored area rugs that look sharp is their Tweed #472 (a combination of Midnight Blue, Williamsburg Blue, and Yellows) and their Two color #221 (Williamsburg Blue and Cream).
- Shag! For the young and hip living in your house, get the Mary Kate and Ashley shag rug in blue from Shaw. This rug is in Ocean Blue and is 100% Nylon for easy clean-up.
- Whimsical. 828 International Trading Company has this great fun line called Accents. The area rugs in this collection are 100% cotton and woven in China. Pick up an area rug in a nautical theme with a blue background and plenty of blue skies to make you think you were at the beach. If you'd prefer an underwater look, they also make a wonderful underwater scene that would work great in a sunroom.
One last thing: a very trendy look right now is light blue with cocoa chocolate. If you see an area rug with this color combination, snatch it up for some instant coolness.
